The Problem

Redesign the current website (Desktop & Mobile) to give more information regarding cannabis strain and accurate pricing information.

Research

I got started on this project by accident. I was looking over the menu system for purchasing cannabis from my local Have A Heart dispensary. I was using my laptop to navigate the menu system, and noticed right away some things looked odd. Prices didn’t go down when I purchased in certain quantities, and in some cases it was more expensive to buy in larger quantities. I thought I could design a better way to purchase cannabis. So I set out to design a better desktop menu system.

I spent about 40 hours fleshing out a desktop prototype and reached out the CEO of Grassworks Digital. We met up and discussed the cannabis industry and the reasons he couldn’t build a menu system that gave out correct prices.

It was an eye opening experience hearing about how the laws are not moving fast enough to keep up with the exponential growth the recreational cannabis industry. I’m going to post my process soon for the desktop and mobile version soon.
